At Glencorse, we have a very active and friendly Ladies’ Section offering a full programme of competitions throughout the year.  We have ladies with handicaps ranging from single figures to 36, which reflect the wide range of playing ability within the section.

Our season usually commences with an all-prize Tri-Am in March, providing a fun and enjoyable way to get back into the swing of things after the winter.

We then begin our medal competitions in April and continue these through to October.  Medals take place on Sundays and Thursdays, although there are also three ‘Major’ competitions; the spring, summer, and autumn meetings, which are held on Saturdays.

We have teams competing in the Midlothian County Ladies’ Golf Association 5 a-side league and Greensomes competition.  Teams are also entered in the Interclub and the Morrison Millar competitions.  Additionally, we take part in a number of friendly matches against other clubs in the Edinburgh, Lothian and Borders areas.

Our very popular Ladies Open Greensomes day is held in August, and this year will be on Sunday 19th August.

Out with the many social events organised by the club itself, the Ladies’ section also holds its’ own Annual Dinner to mark the start of the season, and a Christmas Dinner.
